Only 50 years ago the world population was about 2,5 billion. In the last 50 years we managed to get 7 billion on this tiny planet, a staggering increase by almost 300%. Recent studies show that in this rate we will exceed 20 or even 30 billion in the next 40 years and that basically means we run out of water, food and oil. Meanwhile we are destroying the earth in a passionate way and after destroying all lifeforms on earth we might even go down with them in our own ignorance.
Still all these scary words are not the end of the story, there is hope after all. With our modern technology and the “survival instinct” kicking in we might still be able to save the world, thus mankind after all.

Interesting documentary, a month ago there was this article on the interests of developed countries in the agriculture in Africa http://www.businessweek.com/magazine/content/09_49/b4158038757158.htm . Also I can say that I`m an optimist for the future no matter how many people leave here, hey – the more the people – the more ideas (and more hot girls)
). I only don`t like the fact that the natural selection doesn`t work anymore for the human population…everyone has the chance to survive by being pulled and helped by the society so we see all kinds of idiots on the internet ( and the politics
….

Great to see people being optimistic. You are right about the idiots though, they survive just like the non-idiots

This is possibly bigger than global warming and yet you do not here about it anywhere. If this documentary is correct, then the world is in great danger. Believing that more people is a good thing, is bad. This planet isn’t big enough to cope and it will only lead to genocide and starvation. It’s sad to see that ignorance is something that will never be extinct, unlike the animals and plants that already are…
